Jon Bream of the Star Tribune reviewed yesterday’s KDWB’s fifth annual Last Chance Summer Dance at Canterbury Park in Minneapolis. Bream says much of the show, attended by only 12,000 compared to 23,000 the previous year was fizzle. “Nick Carter of the Backstreet Boys made a special appearance to hype his new solo single. The crowd might have preferred Nick’s little brother, Aaron Carter,” he said. Bream added, “The only truly hot act on the bill was Avril Lavigne… she was polished and precocious with a periodic punk streak.”
