Chart magazine reports Avril Lavigne talked about going to Parliament Hill to meet Prime Minister Jean Chretien, who presented her with a diamond record award for selling one million copies of her debut album, ‘Let Go’. Lavigne said, “He was actually kind of funny. He told me ‘I heard you were kind of complicated in school.’ And I was like, ‘OK?’ And then he was like ‘Yeah, I got kicked out of three different colleges.’ And I was like ‘Thank you!’ And he also told me that he used to skateboard or something like that and that he was the ‘Sk8er Boi’.
