Avril Lavigne’s In No Hurry To Release Third Album
While on tour, Avril Lavigne admits she has penned only a few lyrics for her next album, instead wanting to take her time, making sure she doesn’t burnout. “I see people that have been around for a while, and I can really appreciate their staying power,” she tells Marc Weingarten of the Los Angeles Times. “Look at Green Day. They waited five years to come out with a record, and it’s a smash hit. Or Madonna, who’s a mother now but still a vital artist. I really respect that ability to sustain a career over a long period of time.”

August 21, 2005 – Avril spoke with The Charlotte Observer and talked about her ability to fly under the tabloid’s radar screen. “I’m always trying to keep myself out of those stupid magazines because I don’t want people talking about who I’m dating and who I’m with,” Lavigne said. “It’s none of their business and that’s all they’ll talk about. I prefer people just think about my music. I’m sure those people who are all over those magazines are asking for it. Some are so desperate they’ll call a restaurant and say, ‘I’m going out for the day.’ I’ve heard from different publicists telling me about people they represent. And since she mentioned Madonna….’, ‘I’ve always known that Avril has a Madonna in her waiting to come out. Rubber bracelets and heavily-accessorized arms…hello….shades of early Madonna. Now I don’t wanna hear comments like they have different styles. Madonna IS the original rock/punk rock chick. Listen to her CDs “Pre-Madonna” and “Inthebeginning.” She was the proto-Avril, and she could’ve been a rock diva had she not chosen the dance/pop route.
Yes Avril, people with actual talent can sustain a career over many years. You on the other hand are just another faze on its way out. If I were Avril, I would milk this last minute of fame for all its worth.
She wants to get married and pop out a kid for that dwarf from Sum 41.
well, she’s better off with her than he was with Paris Hilton….. ….this couple actually makes some sense, so I’m not gonna trash them for being together. Now, ask me about their “talent” and I won’t be so kind!!
Don’t even compare Madonna and Avril! Madonna is one of the greatest artists in history (some would argue that)… She is a musical genius and is truly one of the greatest female entertainers that ever lived (if not the)… When I think of people with a little Madonna in them, I think of Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Ciara, & Missy… Because they adventure into different types of music and constantly reinvent themselves… Avril is still trying to be the “look at me I’m mad at the world” little girl… Avril, please don’t rush into another album, WAIT, I have a better idea, HOW ABOUT YOU DON’T PUT ONE OUT AT ALL!
What talent? Sum41 and Avril have about as much talent and creativity as a grapefruit (hence a grapefruit has no talent or creativity)

Hey I happened to have Pre-Madonna and I think that it is an awesome album. Where and how did Pre-Madonna sound like Avril and I’ve heard clips from In The Beginning again where and how did that sound like Avril? Their voices are entirely different and on top of that Madonna has went places in her music career that Avril hopes she can go. Madonna is a living legend so there’s no way I could compare her to Avril. Avril is very talented young and attractive and I would say shes on the right track to making a big name for herself. In all honesty though to me theres only one Madonna and no one can compare to her.
