Mike Bell of the Calgary Sun was on hand for Avril Lavigne’s concert on Saturday night at the Saddledome. Bell writes, “Vocally, yes, Lavigne still has incredible pipes — the one thing that will ultimately ensure she’s here to stay. But until she gets herself a new vehicle, until she gets a ride that not only suits her now, but is one the cool, older kids will dig, Lavigne is just spinning her wheels.” Read more.

*snicker* incredible pipes? have you heard her live?
how she got signed is beyond me because she cant sing live. especially when she sang skater boy for mtv.
I think her music has shown growth on her last cd
Good for you, I happen to really like “My Happy Ending”
She talks in her songs, and all that screaming crap is annoying and doesn’t count as singing….Her first and second cd are exactly the same.
When she first came out yes she sounded like crap! but since then live she sounds a whole lot better. If anyone say her do the acoustic version of “Nobody’s Home” on MuchMusic( I think it was last year or the start of this year) knows what Im talking about. She sounds much better live then she used to be.
