Avril Lavigne’s Musical Growth Stunted By Her Old Songs

Mike Bell of the Calgary Sun was on hand for ’s concert on Saturday night at the Saddledome. Bell writes, “Vocally, yes, Lavigne still has incredible pipes — the one thing that will ultimately ensure she’s here to stay.     She talks in her songs, and all that screaming crap is annoying and doesn’t count as singing….Her first and second cd are exactly the same.

    When she first came out yes she sounded like crap! but since then live she sounds a whole lot better. If anyone say her do the acoustic version of “Nobody’s Home” on MuchMusic( I think it was last year or the start of this year) knows what Im talking about. She sounds much better live then she used to be.
