Hitmakers the Matrix, the trio consisting of Lauren Christy, Scott Spock and Graham Edwards, will no longer be giving all of their best material to Avril Lavigne and Britney Spears; they’ll be using it themselves. Signed to Columbia Records, the producing trio are forming a seven-piece act with two new singers. Matrix manager Sandy Roberton tells MTV News, “It’s going to be a brand new record, all fresh songs. It’s going to be chock full of hits, because they are hit songwriters. And it would be great to have a few hits of their own.” Read more.
