Axe Coming To ‘TRL’?
Thanks to declining ratings, an insider tells The New York Daily News MTV is ready to pull the plug on ‘Total Request Live’. “The ratings are at an all-time low, around 300,000 viewers,” the source explained. “The show is going to be canceled and rebranded.” The show’s viewership peaked during the boy band and Britney heydey of 2001, reaching 600,000 eyeballs. Now, viewership is at 393,000.
