Backhanded Compliments For Nelly Furtado Show

David Lindquist of the Indianapolis Star was at Nelly Furtado’s show at the Murat Egyptian Room on Sunday night, and also caught Bonnie Raitt performing in the same complex. Of Nelly’s show, Linquist said, “Give Furtado credit for being a better performer than a year’s worth of embarrassing TV appearances have indicated. Still, it’s problematic when the pace slows and the focus falls to her wobbly, thin and tuneless voice.”
