Backstreet Boys Fan Battled Disability To Enjoy Life

Hawke Fracassa of The Detroit News profiled the life of Miss Bajek, a huge Backstreet Boys fan who died from sepsis and respiratory failure on Friday, June 28, 2002, at Children’s Hospital of Michigan in Detroit. She was 18. “She was a very social, likable, kind and compassionate girl who loved the Backstreet Boys and loved being in the heart of things,” said her mother, Janice Bajek. “She also was fragile.
