Backstreet Boys’ New Album ‘Boring And Unoriginal’

Howard Cowen of The Miami Herald gave the new Backstreet Boys’ album ‘Never Gone’ a low rating of only 2 stars. Cohen writes: “For the Backstreet Boys’ first studio album in nearly five years, the once-hot boy band chose the song ‘Never Gone’ as the title track. More truthfully, the Boys should have chosen another cut as the title track, ‘Crawling Back to You’. Without one distinctive voice among the five singers, and no subtlety or nuance to the performances, an entire album starts to feel sound-alike and tiresome, losing flavor as fast as day-old bubble gum.”
