Backstreet Boys Push On Following Terrorist Attacks

The Backstreet Boys were one of the few acts to continue their concert schedule following the terrorist attacks against the United States on Tuesday with the first of three scheduled performances at the Air Canada Centre. While some wondered if the group should perform, BSB decided to go on while one U.S. dollar from each ticket sold to all three Toronto shows would go to the American Red Cross’ U.S.A. Appeal Relief Fund.

Kevin Richardson told the sold-out crowd, “I’m tired of being sad and mad. I’m ready to enjoy something.”

Most tragic was news that a member of the Backstreet Boys road crew, Daniel Lee, had been among those killed on one of the hijacked planes that hit the World Trade Center. Lee was flying home to Los Angeles to be home with his pregnant wife.
