Jim Farber of the New York Daily News reviewed the Backstreet Boys’ concert at Irving Plaza on Tuesday night. Farber writes, “Every time its members made one of their dewy-eyed entreaties to an idealized ‘girl’, or jerked through their trademark theme-park dance moves, or joined their voices for another creamy harmony, they seemed more jarringly irrelevant to current pop. At this point, they’ve fallen into that dangerous no man’s land between stardom and nostalgia.”
