Roger Friedman of FoxNews.com writes in his column today: “The rumors are rampant: They got married on Monday. They’ll never get married at all. Two weeks ago, Ben’s friends staged an ‘intervention’ to convince him not to marry J.Lo. Yes. It’s the second anniversary of the World Trade Center tragedy, and all people can talk about is the impending marriage of Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez. We’ve learned a lot, haven’t we?” Read more.

He’s right. Some people have learned nothing from 9/11. What people should have learned is that there are more important things in the world than Ben and J.Lo. I couldn’t care less whether or not these two celebrities get married. What I do care about is the fact that there are families out there suffering right now because two years ago, today, they lost someone so very important to them. Children are without mommies and daddies now, but all the media can discuss is this marriage, or non-marriage. I wonder what it will take for such pathetic people to realize just how unimportant this subject is. I doubt they’ll ever learn though. And that is sad.
Too bad they weren’t in the World Trade Center.
That’s a horrible thing to say about anyone! I don’t know if you are immature or just a mean-spirited person but that was very uncalled for. You can poke fun of people and call them names but never, ever wish death upon them!
