More speculation on the last minute wedding cancellation of Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck, as the Boston Herald reports the Montecito Fire Department told us yesterday the station house had received a fax from the county saying “the event” was indeed off and to keep the roads around the church and Sotto Il Monte estate open this weekend. “That will make the residents happy,” said a firehouse spy. “They were all bent out of shape about the road closings. They all think they’re very important and can’t understand why they would close the roads for Ben and J. Lo when they don’t even live here.” Ben’s PR guy, Ken Sunshine, also said talk of a fake-out by the couple probably isn’t the case. “I would say that’s a great reason to conclude that it’s not a ruse,” he said. “I have no idea how (guest expenses) will be dealt with – it’s all still new – but it will absolutely be dealt with.”

The talk about this wedding being cancelled is getting more headlines than Ben and Jen alone! The more I hear about it, and sorta think about the TV special and stuff they had to somewhat promote her relationship to the world, it’s kinda sad that it just all stops at the dawn of matrimony. Ben and Jen should have seriously thought about their decisions to marry. They seemed to have wanted to get hitched so bad as soon as the bad press about Gigli was everywhere, and now, things are even more worse than that. They should have waited, taken the time to reason what it means to truly have a marriage that’s not only dwelt with love, but with more than just that. They have great decisions in their life with careers and romance, so of course it was gonna be hard to begin with. I just hope it will all soon end. Oh and another thing, when I also think about it, I don’t think the media really gives a damn about Ben and Jen. Ever since it was known that they were hitched, there was always talk about “THE RING”, and of course, the biggest wedding of the decade that hadn’t even happened yet. The media just seems to care about the glamor, the fantasy, and the fortune of it all. I bet if Ben gave Jen a little tiny ring for an engagement ring that looks like he got it from the dollar store, and planned to have a cheap wedding in Las Vegas, they would care less. It’s all about the fame of the Hollywood couple, not about their love lives at all.
All I have to say is how could they possibly think that their “so called” wedding this weekend would of been a secret? They said themselves they wont let the media stop them but look the wedding was postponed, fishy fishy fishy! I think the wedding was postponed for other reasons, their relationship is just so weird to me.
Here’s how I feel about it, and it’s more directed at Jennifer Lopez than at Ben Affleck. From what I’ve noticed about Jen is that she has a tendency to fall in a false, “romantic” notion of love too quickly and with about every guy that we’ve seen her in a relationship with. I personally think she jumped the gun too quickly with Ben Affleck, and just wanted a nice, extravagant wedding of her dreams. In reality, I think she needs to settle down and have some “Jen-time” to find out what it is she truly wants out of life. A man will not necessarily make you happy.
