David Letterman joked during his Late Show monologue on Thursday night about Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck, mirroring Conan O’Brien’s joke. He said, “Are you getting used to saying Governor Schwarzenegger? Arnold says that he will not make any movies while he is governor. I was thinking to myself, now if we could just get Ben and J.Lo to run for office.”

Ok, so maybe together they suck….. But separately, they’ve both made some great movies that I enjoy a great deal! While I think this is funny, part of me doesn’t so much. Jennifer Lopez is really coming into her own as an actress, and Ben Affleck is superb on screen, and behind the scenes! I think it might be a bit unfair!

I completely agree with you, BadAss. But you have to admit the joke was funny!
A lot of people are jealous of Jennifer because she is a triple threat: singer, actress, dancer. not to mention a perfume and fashion pioneer. A lot of these girls wish they had her power, like Britney, Mariah and Christina they will never reach her status.
I think they’d be okay at doing anything but movies together again!
I don’t think her clothes are that great…… Her perfume smells SO bad….I hate it!! Her music is lame as hell now a days…. But the girl can dance like none other, and her movies are good (as long as Ben isn’t in them…..)!! Part of me really respects Jen. She HAS been able to take over every angle of showbiz, and that is an amazing feat for a woman! But part of me despises what she’s done! By going in and saying “I’m an actress / singer / dancer / designer / perfume creator / whatever else”, I don’t know…it seems arrogant beyond all belief at the same time! Ya know what I’m trying to say? Not to mention her fast paced love life that’s a front page story! I don’t know…..just my thoughts!
