Conan O’Brien joked during his Late Night monologue on Thursday night about Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck’s movie bombs. He says, “Executives in Hollywood are upset because now that Arnold is Governor, he has no time to make movies. [Audience aws] That’s right, yeah. In a related story, Ben and J.Lo are being urged to run for President. [Laughter] Get them out of the picture. [Imitates schwarzenegger] ‘That wasn’t funny, Conan O’Brien!’”

Look, you’re welcome to like Jennifer and celebrate her *cough* accomplishments, but know this: The women you mentioned have outsold, outperformed, and simply outdone her ten times over. Mariah and Christina have mad chops, and even Britney sounds better than Jennifer at times. I actually used to be a fan, but after having met her….. Look at it this way: someone writes, produces and in some cases, sings her hit songs for her. Someone else came up with the nice scent (I love Glow, actually) for perfume line, and someone else designed her clothing line (I’m taking that from one of her interviews). She just put her name on it as so many other celebrities do. So, Jennifer is not the ultra-celeb you would like her to be. There are far too many women out there now that easily outpace her. Jennifer wouldn’t be the so-called “triple threat” if she hadn’t been jealous of other (and in some cases far more successful) female celebs. She has dissed many female celebrities out her insecurities. I would like to see her focus her energies on her dancing, or maybe promoting Madre’s. The least she could do is improve her acting.
