Shaun Robinson of Access Hollywood spoke with Destiny’s Child star Beyonce Knowles and asked her about earlier comments she had made about being able to relate to the troubles Mariah Carey had. “What I actually said is that no matter what field you’re in — it doesn’t matter if you’re a journalist, if you are a teacher, whatever — life gets overwhelming at times,” Knowles said. “And when you’re not a celebrity, you can take the time off if someone passes away or something happens. You can take a couple of days off, you can take two or three days, maybe that’s all you need, but unfortunately you can’t or if you get sad it gets blown up — ‘Oh god, she’s having a breakdown’ or whatever, and that’s the unfortunate thing about being a celebrity.”
