BMG Buys Up The Rest Of J Records
USA Today reports German media giant Bertelsmann has called on legendary executive Clive Davis to stabilize its flagship RCA label. Bertelsmann’s BMG music unit bought the 50% stake it doesn’t already own in Davis’ J Records. Davis will continue to run it along with RCA as chairman of a new RCA Music Group. He replaces Bob Jamieson, who is talking with BMG about taking a different job there.
