The New York Post reports Jessica Simpson’s reasons for crying the other night at Avalon started after a pal was harassed by one of the club’s bouncers. “She went to the defense of a friend and the security guard verbally abused her and insisted she leave the premises,” said Simpson’s rep, adding that her hubby Nick Lachey of 98 Degrees rushed to the hot spot and “rescued” Jessica.
