Music industry insiders tell the Daily Mail that part of Madonna’s problem selling out her re-Invention tour is price. The cheapest seats start at £75 ($137) while the most expensive are £160 ($293). “Madonna is still a very popular singer,” a source explained. “But although a lot of her hardcore fans bought tickets as soon as the dates were announced, the high price has put off a lot of her casual fans. The average concert ticket costs around £20 ($37) to £30 ($55), but the cheapest Madonna tickets are £75 ($137). Factor in travel costs and maybe a couple of drinks and you are looking at spending in excess of £100 ($183) per person for a night out.”
