Branch Would Rather Be Compared To Alanis Than Britney

Rachael Hopper of Capital FM in England spoke with Michelle Branch who has been in the country promoting ‘Everywhere-. When asked if she gets compared to fellow Maverick artist Alanis Morissette, Branch said, “I always say it’s very flattering to be compared to anyone who’s been successful in this business. Obviously Alanis has been more than successful and I can definitely say I’m a fan of hers. A lot of people say I’m a happy version of Alanis Morissette and I just say ‘Just wait ’till I have more boyfriends and I’ll sound exactly the same!’ To be honest I’d much rather be compared to Alanis than someone like Britney Spears!”
