Early this morning, Suchin Pak gave an MTV news brief where she updated on the Backstreet Boys four upcoming solo albums. She confirmed that both Nick Carter and AJ McLean are going more in the rock direction. Nick is opting for a more aggressive sound than ‘Now or Never’ and has recruited Tommy Lee and Canadian reggae rapper Snow as producers. AJ is making an adult album that is more rock/funk. He has told fans that two versions will be released, a censored and an uncensored version. She then stated that Howie Dorough’s album will be Latin/R&B and he’s working with Emilio Estefan. Then Suchin informed viewers that Brian Littrell will be working on a Gospel album, collaborating with Michael A. Smith and Atlanta’s Monica. This isn’t the first time that Brian has worked with artists from his new hometown of Atlanta. Brian also hooked up the Backstreet Boys with collaborations with Atlanta natives Outkast, Jermaine Dupri, and Lionel Richie.
