British Tabloid’s ‘Source’ Prompts Lawsuit Against Aguilera

The Mirror reports that Christina Aguilera has been dumped by British fashion label Basic Box and is getting hit with a multi-million dollar lawsuit after allegedly saying that celebrity clothing ranges were “tacky” in a recent second-hand gossip report in The Daily Star. “Following Christina Aguilera’s negative comments in the media regarding celebrities who bring out their own clothing labels, we have terminated the license agreement,” a spokesman for Basic Box said. “We are extremely disappointed. We thought she was totally behind the project so her comments came as something of a shock.”
