Britney Spears is auctioning off the boots, black football pants, shorts and referee halter-top she wore during the NFL kickoff concert in September. The boots are even autographed. The clothes are for sale at MaryBirdAuction.com, and the proceeds will go to the Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center.

Christina Aguilera is obviously a really bad influence on her fans, cause just like her they put down other musicians who are more popular and successful then her. What you guys fail to realize is this brings bad karma…Look at Christina, Her hair started falling out and she’s constantly gaining weight. Christina realizes she’s a second rate ‘popstar’ in Britney’s shadow, Why can’t you guys?
Wow, it’s for such a nice cause, I’d bid, if only the outfit wasn’t so tacky. :)- Let’s hope this goes as well as her last auction for her Britney Spears Foundation, that was like record-breaking. Like Britney even has a choice……. You think SHE is the one who auctions this crap off? It sits in a closet somewhere, SHE forgets about them, cause they aren’t in HER house, and then someone comes along and says “hey, we’re gonna thin out the closet, lets have an auction…..” This isn’t Britney’s doing yo…..get over yourselves!
Britney has a staff. Some of that staff are responsible for charity work. Still, without her name and celebrity, that staff wouldn’t do much good. Yeah, she didn’t hand-pick all this, but who the hell cares? It’s supporting a good cause. And attacking someone for supporting charity is really, really pathetic.
NO, what’s pathetic is “Some people’s” reasons for supporting charity! It is all about publicity with her! You can tell by watching her in “action”!! Jesus, stop supporting every single thing she does…..not all of it is all that great!
I don’t support every single thing she does. At all. I’m not a mindless fan; I like many other artists, some who aren’t as popular as Pop’s flavor of the week artists. But almost all celebrities support some form of charity. It’s unfair to single Britney out for criticism.
OK, give me some artists/stars who also do charity and I’ll tell you whether they really want to do good, or if they want to LOOK good….. Backstreet Boys…..Depends on which one. Kevin really wants to do good, Howie really wants to do good, Brian really wants to do good, Nick and AJ have both going for them….the Save the Ocean foundation is noble, but he wants to look good. But he does the charity basketball games and appearances at things like that to DO good. AJ has JNN, which is totally noble, but he wants to look good…. If he wanted to Save the Music and such, there are OTHER ways around it. Sure, JNN is creative, but it kinda rubs me wrong!!! Justin Timberlake….with his Save the Music type foundation….DO good….and remember, I can’t stand him….. Come on….give me some names, that way I’m not singling Britney out…. The only reason she got SINGLED out was cause this article was about her.
If you wanna be fair and compare sales, then maybe you should compare Christina’s 2nd album (Stripped) to Britney’s second (Oops..). If not that, then wait till Christina releases her fourth album and then compare it to “ITZ”. The fact that Britney has put out 4 #1 albums that have gone multi platinum is amazing. Something even your BSB couldn’t do.
