William Kerns of The Lubbock Avalanche-Journal shared his thoughts on Britney Spears’ abrupt cancellation of her show in Lubbock on Friday after a transformer blew out. While saying Spears didn’t deserve to be booed for cancelling the show, he added, “On the other hand, Britney did blow it Friday. Blame it on her youth and inexperience when compared with stars with more life experiences. And blame a lack of confidence in standing alone in the spotlight without flames licking the ceiling or electronic gimmicks out of a Hollywood special effects spectacle. Spears is a recording artist. She had a live microphone at center stage and, in the process of saying that the show had to be canceled, what she should have done was step forward – and sing.” Read more.
