Despite what some delusional Christina Aguilera fans may think, Britney Spears is still more successful than Christina. Well, all you have to do is to look at the facts. First of all let’s look at album sales. In The Zone is currently at over 6 million in sales, compared to Christina Aguilera’s ‘Stripped’, which was at 5.7 million in sales in its 33rd week. In the USA alone In The Zone has sold more than ‘Stripped’ in its 33rd week, In The Zone is currently at over 2.7 million, while Stripped was at 2.5 million in its 33rd week.
In the UK, even though In The Zone did not reach the top ten, it currently at #17 in the UK charts. Most albums in the UK chart fall off the Top 20 in its Tenth week on the UK chart, but In The Zone is currently in the Top 20. Compare this to Christina Aguilera, whose album was at #22 in week 33 of the release of Stripped. So In The Zone is more successful than Stripped in the USA and the UK. Now, lets look at France, IN THE ZONE has succeeded in France despite other chart rivals have failed miserably – CHRISTINA AGUILERA previously managed a highest-ever placing of 49 with STRIPPED, JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE could only achieve 30th place with JUSTIFIED and BEYONCE didn’t even make the top ten with DANGEROUSLY IN LOVE, which got to 14. In South America ‘In The Zone’ is enjoying more success than Stripped. In Brazil In The Zone is currently 3x platinum. In Venezuela, Peru, Argentina and Mexico, In The Zone is selling faster than Britney’s third album, which sold over 12 million copies- beats ‘Stripped’ 10 million copies.
Britney Spears is having more success in Europe and Asia in terms of singles, compared to Christina. In the UK, Britney Spears lowest chart position with songs from In The Zone is #2, but for Christina it is #9. Even though 3 singles from In The Zone has been released, compare Britney’s 3rd single Everytime, to Christina’s Fighter. Okay then. Everytime made it to #1. Fighter did not. Enough said. Dirrty went #1 in 7 countries and top ten in a lot of other countries, compare this to Me Against the Music, which went #1 in 13 countries including Australia, Japan, Italy, Ireland and various other countries. Toxic went to #1 in over 20 countries, and Everytime, Britney’s latest hit single, went to #1 in over 17 countries so far, top 5 in 10 countries, more successful than ‘The Voice Within’. Which just goes to show that not only is In The Zone more popular in the USA, but also in South America, Europe and Asia. Now, concerning In The Zones chart position this week in the USA, it is currently at #68. One has to remember that in this week there were 15 new album releases, so next week In The Zone is going to climb the US charts.
Now let’s look at tours. Christina Aguilera has realized that she cannot sell tickets when she tours on her own, so she had to tour with Justin. Even that tour was not that successful, ticket sales were low in the USA, the tour venues had to be decreased, from 60 venues to 45 venous. Ouch. But let’s look at the Onyx Hotel Tour. On The FIRST LEG of the Onyx hotel tour Britney made $34 million. According to Billboard, The Onyx Hotel Tour made $34 million for its 52 shows in Europe and North America. Which beats Christina’s $29 million for the WHOLE of her tour? Oh, and shall I talk about the infamous FLOP summer tour? 40%, does that number ring a bell to anyone?
Album sales, singles chart position, ticket sales for tour, Britney triumphs over Christina. Surprise Surprise.
