Britney Spears’ Break Brings Unintended Consequences

Britney Spears let Good Morning America go behind the scenes with her at last night’s MTV Video Music Awards, where she presented Michael Jackson with a birthday present. While wanting the media attention in this case, Spears admitted she had no idea wanting to escape the media glare with a six-month break would turn into the media blow-up that it did. “I wanted to take a break spiritually to be out of the press so much,” she explained. “I was sick of seeing myself on TV and I said a break and now I have more press than ever … it’s like, what’s going on?”
