WENN reports Britney Spears is frustrated in her inability to ditch her smoking habit ahead of the launch of her new album. “Britney’s tried everything from nicotine patches to acupuncture to try and kick it for good, but it’s no use,” a pal revealed. “Her mom is always on at her back about it.”

Carpediem’s Mistress…. I feel ya girl, I kicked my habit about a year ago and it was murder. I tried for over a year before I finally quit. Keep trying, you can do it!
Let the girl smoke, she’s sitting on millions and millions while the person who wrote this is living paycheck to paycheck, so Britney must be doing something right…..I say, move on from smoking cigarettes and spark up whatever you want. She works hard as a stripper. She deserves to do whatever she wants.
if she really cared about her voice she would quit. yeah she’s a adult and can do whatever she wants but smoking is just going to make her voice even more crappy than it is now.
I know people who smoke or use to smoke and they all say that trying to beat the habit is excruciating. I really don’t understand why someone would start smoking in the first place. Good luck Brit!
this is a smart move on her part.. we all know the dangers of smoking but smoking is especially dangerous to singers. granted.. Britney doesn’t have the strongest voice in the world but she does have a beautiful voice. it’d be a shame if it were ruined by a pack of cigarettes.
We all know that smoking is the worse habit that anyone can abuse in their bodies, especially for Britney Spears. If many of our artists our smoking, it will become a great burden and shame on their natural gift, which is their voice. Sure, Britney doesn’t have the strongest voice in the world, and in my opinion, isn’t really the most beautiful or unique in the world. And honestly, I care less what smoking will do for her voice and her image. I am more concerned about her health. Hopefully she will kick this habit very soon.
MusicMan, it really amazes me that you are continuously posting these fictional stories about that talent less sex freak Spears. Are we supposed to believe this? This whore smokes like a chimney. We all know she couldn’t resist smoking. It’s like sex for her, the more the merrier. Her mother should get all the blaming, Lynne should be stuck on a chimney.
I’m not a great singer or anything, but I tried smoking a cigarette once just to see what was so “great” about it. It completely affected my singing voice and it took about a week for it to go back to normal. I could only hit half the notes I normally can… and that was only from one cigarette! Imagine how it must be affecting Britney. I like her music a lot, but she didn’t have all that strong of a voice to begin with… she shouldn’t be jeopardizing it like she is.
Now I like Brit an all, but if her voice was so important to her, she wouldn’t have started in the first place. I used to smoke and have friends who find it hard to quit, however if you are determined you can quit, you don’t necessarily have to go on all that crap, if she really wanted to quit, she would have. And don’t go on about how it’s addictive and crap, addiction is a state of mind, if you are weak it will overtake you, if not you can overcome it.
You guys are stupid…Britney isn’t stopping for you guys she’s stopping for herself. You say you don’t care if she smokes and bla bla but obviously she does. People just need to think a minute.
Congrats that takes a lot I know my dads trying. You should be proud and feel good about it.
Are you serious smoking is the worst habit? What about alcoholism, cutters, violence, suicide thoughts, and drug addicts those are the worst habits. She is trying and she knows she has a problem and that’s the first and most important step. She will kick it.
Lots of famous people smoke, why is she always the one getting sh***ed on for it? I’d rather her stop since it eventually will damage her voice (not in one day, and not from one cigarette) but it’s her life and I can live with it. It would be hypocritical for me to disown her or hate her for smoking since I’ve tried it and it can be very addictive…
I completely agree. My friend’s Grandpa had been smoking for 40 years, but quit without any patches/gum/hypnosis/etc…You don’t need to go on all that crap, you need to be determined. You need to know that it’s not good for you. You need to realize you’ve got a problem, then find a way to solve it. I couldn’t care less about that girl, but as treating her like any other human being, we all know that for health and voice concerns, quitting would be in her best interest.
