The UK’s Daily Sport has reported that Britney Spears’ pop career is in serious trouble after new album, ‘In The Zone’, failed to make it into the Top 10 of the UK chart this week. They report that friend of the star are saying she may quit pop altogether because she is miserable after her split from childhood sweetheart Justin Timberlake of *NSYNC. A source said: “Britney was really nervous about her album not doing well and she knew that if this album bombed her career might be over. She has aspirations for a film career and hoped this would kick-start it. But not even stripping for the front cover of Rolling Stone magazine and snogging Madonna could save her.”

first of all…she is not gonna quite music just because one album did not do so well in the UK. UK is full of one hit wonders and the charts change daily. The only thing that could over there is the single sales..and she was no.2…which is pretty good. If her CD bombs in the US…then she might reconsider

Britney’s worldwide sales are like *NSYNC’s worldwide sales: suffering. so if you guys say that *NSYNC’s career is OK even though they don’t have real international success, then how can you not say that about Britney
This is lame. Like anyone gives a flying f**k about the UK charts. Michael Jackson is #1 there. So much for taste. Not only does it show the country has poor taste in music, but their morals are obviously lacking too. Even Simon Cowell says singers in America are much better than the ones in the UK. I’m sure Britney’s not losing any sleep over a disappointing debut in the UK. Even the UK’s queen of pop Kylie Minogue fell flat on her face and that was her home. If someone bombed, it’s her, not Britney.

It’s to soon to tell. Christina bombed in her first week out in the UK with ‘Stripped’. The debut was lower than Britney. Besides Britney already sold over 600K in the US. She’s off to a fabulous start.
Britney killed the US market. And Christina had a poor start in the UK, and look how great she’s doing there now! She deserves it. Anyway, congrats to Britney.
