Britney Spears Concert Epitomized Pop Spectacle

Kevin C. Johnson of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reviewed Britney Spears’ concert at the Savvis Center Saturday night calling her lip-synched performance a “90-minute blowout.” Johnson writes, “The concert, as expected and necessitated, epitomized the pop music spectacle, from the fireworks, flames and lasers, the hyped-up dance troupe, the never-ending costume changes no young girl should be allowed to see, and the props and frills, etc. You name it, it was there.”
