Britney Spears’ Dad Jamie Furious With Dr. Phil?
Despite earlier reports from People magazine suggesting that Britney Spears’ father Jamie had believed Dr. Phil McGraw was “a God”, the talk show host’s apparent diagnosis given to the media after meeting the troubled pop tart at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center on Friday changed the elder Spears’ mind about him.
“As soon as Jamie realized Dr. Phil was making public statements about Britney, including assessments of her condition, he got angry,” a source close to Dr. Phil’s camp tells Life & Style magazine. “He started making phone calls to everybody in the family, telling them not to cooperate with Dr. Phil. “Jamie was totally incensed that Dr. Phil – who he knows a little, because Lynne is friends with Dr. Phil’s wife – seemed to be using Britney for self-promotion.”
