People magazine reviewed ’ effort in ‘Crossroads’ and concluded, “First seen in bra, panties and socks enthusiastically lip-synching to Madonna’s ‘Open Your Heart,’ Spears doesn’t embarrass herself here, but she’s rarely more than pleasantly bland.”
