Britney Spears’ Handlers Were Absent For ‘Dateline’ Interview

The New York Post reports that when Matt Lauer interviewed Britney Spears for ‘Dateline NBC’, staffers for the show were shocked the singer didn’t have either of her publicists, Leslie Sloane Zelnick or Nanci Ryder, at her Malibu mansion. Spears also insisted on doing her own hair and makeup. “When [the NBC crew] got there, they thought they had the wrong day… During the interview, no one was there to rein things in,” a source said. Sloane Zelnick responded to the concern telling the Post, “Britney is a grown-up and makes her own decisions.”
