The Southern Illinoisan caught up with Britney Spears impersonator Melissa Virdo at the Du Quoin State Fair free entertainment tent Friday night, and asked her about the shocking kiss the previous night with Britney Spears and Madonna. “I was kind of shocked,” Virdo said. “But then I thought — you go girl! She’s always in the media’s eye and has the media attention. I think it was maybe more for the shock value than anything. I think she’s trying to shed her little-girl image. She’s growing up. She’s a woman and she wants to show her sexuality. But you don’t expect to see the two divas — Britney and Christina Aguilera and the queen diva like that.”

oh give it up already with the kiss. talk about making a mountain out of a mole hill. sad that a 21 year old needs to do some lame pr stunt kiss to “shed her little girl image”. the fact that she’s 21 and still has an immature little girl image is pathetic enough, and no kiss is going to shed that. maybe she should try actually growing up instead of doing another cheap stunt.
