When Britney Spears’ three-year romance with *NSYNC singer Justin Timberlake ended in 2002, she told People magazine, “I cried a lot, and it wasn’t fun.” Now that, as she put it, “so much of my innocence is gone,” Spears has unveiled an edgier sound.
