Britney Spears’ Latest Is Rife With Generic Dance Pop

Spence D. of IGN.com reviewed Britney Spears’ new album ‘In The Zone’, giving it 4.8 out of 10 rating. Spence writes, “It’s not that the music of Britney Spears is bad; it’s just disposable, like so much pop music cranked out by the industry machine in the past 10 years. Her fans will most likely praise this new collection. Critics will no doubt dismiss it. And it will undoubtedly make a few dents in the pop charts and at next years music awards. Aside from the intriguing musical contributions of folks like Moby and a few moments where Spears seems to drop her sexually charged vixen persona (’Everytime’), ‘In The Zone’ becomes a collection of innocuous post-millennial dance pop.” Read more.
