Britney Spears & Lindsay Lohan Upset Mentally Disabled
The Arc, a group that advocates the rights of people with mental disabilities, plans to send Lindsay Lohan a letter explaining why they were upset with the actress using the word “retarded” as an insult, a move they also made when Britney Spears uttered the politically incorrect descriptive. Arc spokesman Chris Privett told Jeannette Walls of MSNBC.com: “I think someone like Lindsay Lohan and Britney Spears and, frankly the majority of people who toss that word around if they’re ordering a glass of water, don’t understand the impact of that word. There are millions of people out there who, when they hear that word, it’s like a dagger in the heart.”
