Just when you thought she was “over, finished, down for the count”, Britney Spears is bigger than ever.
After 5 years, 1/4 of Madonna’s career, Spears continues to deliver hit after hit, no. 1 album after a no. 1 album. Her latest offering, “In The Zone”, crushed all competition this week, trouncing The Beatles, Michael Jackson, and Kylie Minogue, and is set to debut straight to No. 1, with more than 600, 000 copies sold in the U.S. alone. Worldwide, the newly crowned 21st century pop queen is expected to shell in more than 2 million copies in its first week.
Meanwhile, her single, “Me Against The Music”, has also spelled no. 1 all over the world, debuting on top in all 6 continents. It grabbed the No.1 spot in all of Europe, Australia, and Asia.
Looks like we’ll be seeing the headline, “Oops! Britney does it again”, for what? 15 more years from now?
