The Las Vegas Review Journal reports that Britney Spears made a surprise appearance at the Palms on Saturday, singing almost a half-dozen songs to a stunned crowd at the jammed nightclub Rain. Palms owner George Maloof kept the mini concert hush-hush until the last minute.

But the issue is… nobody was surprised. I would rather see her on a cremation center rather than performing.
Smart move Britney. Real smart. It’s good to see that she is performing for a more adult crowd. If she had publicized every 10-year-old within a 50 mile radius would have been their, with their soccer Moms to tote! :) Nothing wrong with having young fans, but that’s the reason Brit gets a lot of flack. She’s trying to get away from the pre-teen demographic, so that she won’t get scorned for being so sexual and mature. I know she put on a great show and I just hope it’ll be on TV one day. Really, I don’t think I could adore her more.

If we don’t like someone, we can say we don’t like them. Why do we have to involve death into it. That is a horrible thing to say and it makes us Christina fans look awful!
I hope it was live with a band sans the 100 dancers. I would hardly call a another lip synched performance a “Show”. All this bad press Britney is angling for and her impromptu lip synched performances are doing absolutely nothing to boost her popularity or her future album sales. I don’t agree with Christina’s raunchy image or the hypocrite bible-thumping image of Jessica but at least than can actually sing and do it live.
