Britney Spears Returns Monday Night To ‘How I Met Your Mother’
Britney Spears is back on television following up her successful guest appearance on the hit CBS series ‘How I Met Your Mother’, continuing her role as the doctor’s receptionist Abby. “Working at ‘How I Met Your Mother’ has been so terrific,” Spears said said in a statement to the media. “Everyone, including the cast, the crew and the producers, has been wonderful and Abby is such a fun girl to play. I’m having a blast!”
Meanwhile, Craig Thomas, the show’s co-creator, tells the Hollywood Reporter that the episode was written to leave the possibility open that the pop tart could return next season. “She was better than the first time and I think the fans will enjoy it because her return answers a larger mystery set up earlier in the series,” Thomas said. “So there’s a good plot reason why she’s there. And when people watch Britney’s second appearance on the show they’ll see that the door is still open for her to come back.” Watch a preview of the show, airing Monday night, below the fold.
