Britney Spears Stays Put On Top

Britney Spears is still the most popular and most loved female artist in the world, as proven by Radio Chart’s Annual Pop Survey. The bouncing pop star performed far better compared to her almost-losing 2% lead margin against her closest contender in 2001 (She won over Jennifer Lopez in 2001 by only 48 votes), by pulling almost half of all the votes. She easily won over her closest rival last 2002, Mandy Moore, by more than 500 votes. This is Britney’s 4th straight year to clich the most loved female artist, since her debut in 1999.
