Britney Spears Stiff, Pink Exudes Personality
Jim Derogatis of The Chicago Sun-Times reviewed Britney Spears’ new album ‘In The Zone’, giving it only 1 star while giving rival Pink 3 1/2 stars with ‘Try This’. He says of Spears: “Despite her attempt to go ’street’ on ‘In the Zone’, Spears remains a stiff, cardboard caricature of a sexy dance diva on her first new album in two years.” As for Pink, he says: “As sharp as the songwriting and production are, though, the album succeeds because of Pink’s exuberant personality.”
