Britney Spears, The World’s Number One Pop Princess

Contributed anonymously:

Once again, manages to thwart Christina’s plan to steal Britney’s crown as the ultimate Pop princess. When ’ career is looking great, Christina’s on the other hand is going straight to hell, yet Christina fans insist that she will be here in 10 years time as opposed to Britney. Well obviously these Christina fans need to take a hint, her latest single ‘Carwash’ was an instant bona fide flop, and her summer tour was a disaster, with dismal ticket sales of a pathetic 40%.

‘Carwash’ was the main soundtrack for the album soundtrack of ‘Shark Tale’, and the soundtrack only debuted at a pitiful #42 on the Billboard charts. Take a hint Christina fans. Also, another way in which delusional Christina fans back up their argument that Christina will outlast Britney is by exaggerating the album sales of Stripped and only comparing the UK sales. Well, sorry to say Christina fans, but if you don’t want to know the truth then I suggest that you stop reading this right now. But for those of you who do want to know the truth, Stripped has been Certified 10x platinum, it has not been recertified. A lot of Christina fans do not seem to be able to grasp the simple concept of certification, for an album to be certified this means that the album has shipped a certain amount. So in Christina’s case, 10 million copies of Stripped has been shipped world wide. If you are still delusional about Stripped’s sales then here is the definition of the word certification:

RIAA:

RIAA certification for shipment of 1 million units is a Platinum album.

Note: Shipment being the key word. According to an updated report on the sales of Stripped by Nelson Soundscan, Stripped has sold over 8.3 million copies world wide. Now, compare this with In The Zone, which has been out for 1 year and has only had 3 singles released from that album, I can reveal that In The Zone is now at 7.2 million.

Christina may be more popular than Britney in the UK, but in Europe as a whole, one name- Britney. In many European countries In The Zone has already outsold Stripped, like in France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Ireland, Greece, Hungary and many more. In Ireland, In The Zone has sold 3x the amount Stripped sold. Lets look at France:
IN THE ZONE has succeeded in France despite other chart rivals have failed miserably – CHRISTINA AGUILERA previously managed a highest-ever placing of 49 with STRIPPED, JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE could only achieve 30th place with JUSTIFIED and BEYONCE didn’t even make the top ten with DANGEROUSLY IN LOVE, which got to 14.
Britney’s tour in Europe was also more successful than Christina’s, Britney made more money on the first leg of her European tour than Christina did in the whole of her European tour. In Ireland all 3 dates for the Onyx Hotel Tour sold out in 28 minutes, in Portugal Britney performed in front of a MASSIVE crowd of 30,000 people! The Onyx Hotel tour grossed over $40 million for its first leg, she was making $1 million everyday from that tour, that is how massive the tour was.
In the USA In the zone was the 8th best selling album in 2003 beating Justin T., Christina Aguilera and Shania twain album in 2003 , according to IFPI.
Now, let’s look at South America. Wait a minute, didn’t Christina try imitating a Hispanic once so that she would be accepted by Hispanic people? Oh well, her attempt obviously failed because Stripped was not a success in Latin America, she didn’t even manage to sell 500,000 copies in the whole of South America. South American people do not accept Christina because she is a fake Latina. By the way I am South American. Britney on the other hand has managed to sell huge amounts of records in Latin America, in Brazil alone she sold over 500,000, which is diamond in Brazil, so Britney has a diamond album in Brazil. In the whole of Latin America Britney has managed to notch up huge sales of her album In The Zone, almost 2 million copies in fact. The people that Christina once ( unsuccessfully) tried to imitate prefer Britney, poor Christina.
Not only is Britney successful in the music business but she is set to make $28 million this year as her fragrance and make up line come out. Well, her Fragrance is already out and there is already huge demand for ‘Curious’, which sold over 8,000 in its first week of it being launched.
Oh, and lets not forget who grabs the most attention, to be an pop phenomenon you have to interest people, something Britney does with ease. Britney has become the most searched celebrity ever in the history of the internet web site Lycos. Britney is frequently one of the most searched for celebrities on the internet, even when she isn’t doing anything she still manages to steal the attention away from Christina, like now, Britney is out and about and Christina is doing something for MTV, the soundtrack to Shark’s Tale, in the cameo for Shark’s Tale, but who is the most written celebrity out of the two? I don’t even need to answer that. So far this year, Britney is the most written about Celebrity, and the most searched celebrity on the internet. Now, a CLASSIC example of Britney stealing the light from Christina. 2003 VMA’s. They wore the same dress, sang the same song, did the same dance moves, and kissed Madonna, who stole the show? Britney. I mean, that night is remembered for the ‘Britney and Madonna’ kiss, notice how Christina is left out. The world did not remember Christina, so what did Christina do? Diss Britney to get attention. Christina obviously notices that the only way she would get attention is if her more successful rival Britney Spears is mentioned, and she obviously resents that fact. Britney has it all, fame, power, great album sales, successful singles, tours that can actually sell tickets. Christina? It’s all slipping away, flop single, flop tour, next will be a flop album. I mean come on, and 20’s and 30’s inspired album? If her 20’s and 30’s inspired tour is a failure then my god her new album is going to bomb all over the world.
