Sports talk show host Jim Rome is weighing in on the latest Britney Spears rumored controversy with her NFL opening weekend concert gig. On reports that the league is threatening to pull Spears unless she cleans up her hard-partying, Rome said, “It’s not like Britney stepped out of a convent. So if the NFL is looking to Britney Spears to capitalize off of her ‘All-American’ image, they might want to look elsewhere. We’re talking about football fans. A young, nubile, pop star cavorting on stage is not reason for them to turn away in disgust. What they’ll probably do is get pissed for not having TiVo.”
