Britney Spears Told Dallas Austin She Wasn’t Ready For VMA Performance
Producer Dallas Austin spoke with UsMagazine.com about his work with Britney Spears, and how the singer admitted to him that she wasn’t ready for her ‘Gimme More’ performance at the MTV Video Music Awards last month. “She said, ‘Hey, I do not think I am ready for my show tomorrow, and I want to go back to where my kids are,’” Austin said. He also suggested that Britney’s label Jive should hold off on the release of ‘Blackout’, due out October 30th. “Everything is too much of a rush for her,” he said. “She needs another four, five or six months. I think that like any mom, she needs time to get herself together.”
