According to Lycos, Britney Spears once again is the most searched for female popstar coming in at #6. The whole Britney “backlash,” which has been going around since 2002 has finally cleared, after releasing her #1 smash, “Toxic.” Clay Aiken landed at #3, thanks to his new tour with Kelly Clarkson, and his new video, “The Way.” Elsewhere, Janet Jackson climbs to #13, thanks to her “Nipplegate,” stunt at the Superbowl, her partner in crime, Justin Timberlake is no where to be seen. Hilary Duff leaps to #21 thanks to, “Come Clean,” Jennifer Lopez climbs one to #29, and Christina Aguilera went to #36, mostly for nude searches, however her new tour has seen some interest. Beyonce re-enters the chart at #43, thanks to her “Naughty Girl,” video and finally Courtney Love sneaks in at #49 after all of her Letterman controversy splashed the internet.
