Britney Spears Wannabe Wants Record Deal

Maurice Timothy Reidy of the Hartford Courant caught up with Britney wannabe Melanie Fontana, a 15-year-old has played birthday parties, baseball games, and, most recently, the Apollo Theater in Harlem, where she won an amateur singing contest for belting out Etta James’ ‘At Last.’ Fontana says, “I want a record deal. I want to do something with my singing because I think I have it in me.”
