Britney Spears Wasn’t The Only Slave At Cox Arena

Tiffany Lee-Youngren of the San Diego Union Tribune reviewed ’ concert at San Diego State’s Cox Arena Wednesday night, ripping the heavily commercialized theme of the show. “Spears wasn’t the only slave at Cox Arena Wednesday night,” she said. “With a shameless guerrilla marketing campaign behind her 2002 ‘Dream Within a Dream’ Tour, it became more and more obvious that by buying tickets to see Spears, her fans had sold themselves to the worst kind of corporate manipulation – advertising designed as ‘just a part of the show.’”
