Britney Spears, You’re No Madonna
USA Today music writer Ken Barnes took part in an online chat with readers on Tuesday, where one asked about the comparisons Britney Spears is getting to Madonna from someone insisting she didn’t deserve to be compared to the Material Girl. “Nope, I’m right with you on that. Britney wishes she could aspire to Madonna status,” Barnes said. “Madonna brilliantly used her limited vocal talents to the max and has been an underrated creative force in co-writing and determining the direction of her records, most of which showed a knack for well-timed innovation.
