Britney Surprised To See Mom Over The Weekend, Tensions Still High

That meeting between Britney Spears and her mother Lynne on Sunday (June 10) at a Beverly Hills party wasn’t what the singer had planned, according to Life & Style magazine. “She froze when she saw Lynne,” an insider told the tab. “Brit was cordial, but you could’ve cut the tension with a knife.” Besides the intervention that sent the pop tart to rehab, Britney also is wary of Lynne’s close relationship with ex-hubby Kevin Federline. “Brit’s paranoid that her mom and Kevin are working to take the kids away from her,” according to a friend.
