Britney Way Ahead Of Kylie In Race For Top Spot

Ananova reports is poised to trounce in the UK singles chart battle, with ‘Toxic’ outselling Kylie’s ‘Red Blooded Woman’ by two to one. ‘Toxic’ would be Britney’s first number one in nearly four years, when ‘Oops!… I Did It Again’ was a chart topper in May 2000. Gennaro Castaldo, spokesman for music retailer HMV, said: “Britney has been losing her way a little in recent years, personally as well as musically. But Toxic is a real return to form and there is a great buzz around the record.”

Their predictions are sometimes way off. Remember ITZ in the UK charts?? Everyone was thinking of a battle with Kylie, but both tanked, and even Michael Jackson beat them both to the top.

Some people were so dramatic when stating that she was “over”. She’s obviously not as successful as she was in the beginning, but she can still produce hit records.

I was guilty of that myself. I guess it’s because if she was over then my bf could forget about her and I wouldn’t be tortured having to listen to her music, or going to her concert etc……. I for one know that for me it’s not that serious I just made those comments to give myself some hope, I don’t know about the rest.

Kylie Minogue sucks anyway, I don’t see what all the hype is about. Most of the world didn’t even know who she was until ‘Fever’ came out. Toxic’s pure genius, The vocals are bad ass and the beats on point. It’s only natural it would do so well.

Oh geez, and people still insisted in saying that the UK didn’t like Britney! Lol! She’s stronger than ever after TOXIC was released!
